The Department of Applied Psychology at Cardiff Metropolitan University is a lively and stimulating centre for applied research and training. We have focused activities in undergraduate and postgraduate applied psychology, with two broad areas of applied work: Health Psychology and Forensic Psychology. There are 25 members of academic staff, supported by technical and adminstration staff. We have a lively postgraduate community, with research being conducted on diagnosis within mental health; service learning and experience in highe education; the effectiveness of EMDR in forensic populations; IPV and suicidal attempts in forensic settings, amongst many others.
