We hope you have all had a good summer and are ready for the new year!
While students have been absent from campus, staff have been busy preparing for the new term and continuing research.
We have a busy induction week planned and look forward to meeting and welcoming the new students! We have a new module running in the first year – Psychology for Learning and Work – and so our new students are joining us at a particularly exciting time. We also have an induction session for Level 5 students that week (details to come via email) and are pleased to support them on the next stage of their degree. We are looking forward to seeing our new final year students who will be embarking upon their dissertations this year.
We are running a new mentoring scheme this year. If you would like to sign up as a mentor or if you would like more information then please contact Leanne Franklin or Alison Walker.
Some of our students have also been busy over the summer with the Psychology Society. Whether a new or returning student please have a look at their twitter and FaceBook page for announcements and events:
Also make sure you sign up to our FaceBook Page to keep up with departmental news and announcements:
There have also been changes to our administration team. Tina Weatherbed now provides the administration support for the department and we look forward to working more closely with her – welcome to the team Tina! We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Alison Kingdon for her help and support with the psychology programme over the last two years. Our administration office has also moved to D1.10.
Finally may we take this opportunity to wish you the best of luck for the forthcoming year!
